Yeng Constantino has a lot of things in store for her fans in the coming months.
With a musical inspired by her life coming up soon, Yeng Constantino will also be busy working on her seventh studio album.
In an exclusive interview with Yeng, the Pop Rock Princess shared that she would be releasing her album before the year ends.
Yeng revealed that her next album is totally different from her earlier ones.
“For my next album, ilalagay ko ang paa ko sa sapatos ng ibang tao. So the songs will not be about my life or experience,” she shared.
In a way, the Tawag ng Tanghalan judge considers her next album as a “level up” in her songwriting skills.
“[Because I would have] to internalize kung ano talaga ang nararamdaman ng ibang tao sa iba’t-ibang mukha ng pag-ibig,” Yeng explained.
Yeng excitedly shared that she already has a number of songs that she plans to include on the album along with “T.A.N.G.A,” the song she spontaneously composed during her recently concluded digital concert.
“Meron nakong nakabangkong kanta and nasa process na kami ng pag-schedule ni Ate Ria Osorio, ang arranger and producer ng album ko kasama si Kuya Jonathan [Manalo]. Ang dami ng kanta,” she said.
What was the inspiration of the album?
“Actually inspired ang album ko by that online concert kasi doon ko naisip na kung gagawa ako ng album ulit na something about my life right now, sobrang lalanggamin ang album,” she explained. “Kasi sobrang tamis dahil masaya talaga ang life ko right now.”
Apart from that, Yeng said that she also hopes to up her ante as a songwriter on her next album.
“I want to give flavor to the album tapos gusto ko rin talagang mag-improve as a songwriter. Sabi ng ni Sir Rey Valera, ‘Write songs na kanta ng buhay nila.’ I think this is the right time for me to write songs like that,” she said.
The “Ikaw” singer happily shared that she is also set to release the music video of the song “T.A.N.G.A.” soon.
Other than the musical Ako si Josephine as well as her upcoming album, Yeng is also set to be one of the judges of the upcoming boy band talent show Pinoy Boyband Superstar along with Vice Ganda, Aga Muhlach, and Korean pop star Sandara Park.
Come November, Yeng will be taking the stage for her concert The Divas Live in Manila together with KZ, Angeline Quinto, Kyla, Rachelle Ann Go, and Kyla. Not only that, Yeng is also set to release her first book soon.
