KathNiel's 'Barcelona' movie teaser released

080316-kathniel_main.jpgKathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's fans rejoiced over the release of Barcelona: A Love Untold's first official teaser on Tuesday evening.

The hashtag #BarcelonaALoveUntoldTeaser even garnered over 1.01 million tweets of anticipation and excitement hours after announcement of the teaser's release was made.

The teaser was released as part of a website by Star Cinema which featured other tidbits about the film including a short back story about how Ely (played by Daniel) and Mia, (played by Kathryn) ended up in Barcelona.

“A young man named Ely, studying in Barcelona is finding it difficult to move on from his past. In Barcelona, he juggles his work with his studies, as he aims to get his masters degree.?Mia, on the other hand, is a girl who sees Spain as a fresh start. After a series of mistakes in the past, she abruptly uprooted herself from her life in Philippines to move forward and start anew. But the question is ‘how?’” was the movie’s short description.

The website likewise included behind-the-scene footages and photos of the cast and crew while in Spain and even before they started filming.

It also devoted a portion to highlight the credentials of the movie’s director Olivia “Inang” Lamasan. Moreover, the website also revealed the two other cast members of the film namely Joshua Garcia, who will play the role of Tonying and Aiko Melendez, who will be playing the role of Insiang.

A special page on the website was also devoted to feature the fan arts gathered via the teaser’s official hashtag.

Prior to Star Cinema’s website, KathNiel’s fans have already created their own website about the film.
