James Reid on celebrity drug testing: ‘I’ve got nothing to be afraid of’

082716-James.jpgWith the recent arrest of radio DJ Karen Bordador and her boyfriend bringing to light an alleged list of celebrity clients who patronize party drugs, the government has strengthened its campaign against illegal substances. Till I Met You star James Reid is one of the celebrities who is all for this ongoing crusade under the Duterte administration.

During the FujiFilm presscon where he was launched as the new celebrity ambassador, James said he is all for making the club scene a drug-free environment. "I love going to (music) festivals. I love partying,” he admitted. The 23-year-old actor said he would willingly submit himself to a drug test if necessary. "Of course yeah. I think Im in favor of that. Ive heard that thats happening but I guess its all for the better right? I guess its all for the better so I dont see any problem with it. Ive got nothing to be afraid of if I'm not doing anything wrong,” he added.

As one of the countrys top male endorsers, James admitted it’s been a great feeling to have a thriving career. He also revealed how he got a leaner look before flying to Greece to shoot scenes for his new teleserye. "Ive lost fat but Ive gained muscle. But when I went to Greece nasira yung diet ko (laughs). It was so hard. Everything was so good in Greece. Im just enjoying it. I feel great,” he admitted.

Apart from his new teleserye with real-life girlfriend Nadine Lustre, James said he is also being eyed for a remake of Pinoy superhero Pedro Penduko. "I also heard that. I like the idea. it would be fun. Ive always wanted to do a supernatural role, something thats really fantasy. Id like to try it. Yeah I would love to do a fantasy role eventually,” he said.
