Enrique Gil has a message to those who have a crush on Liza Soberano.
On Tonight with Boy Abunda, the stars of the hit teleserye Dolce Amore Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil talked about how the characters they played on the show affected their lives.
Enrique shared that he’s, “more responsible, in a way. You learn a lot of stuff whenever you work. In a way, every day as I portray Tenten, seeing the struggles and everything, it becomes you. So pag may nakikita ka na outside, you feel for them because ganoon din ‘ako.’ It opens your eyes; it’s a very humbling experience.”
On how much Liza relates to her character, Serena, she shared, “we fight for we believe in, we go after what we want, and we try to achieve all our goals and our aspirations.”
The difference in their personalities would be that Liza is, “not as vocal as her.” She added, “I’m scared to talk most of the time.”
Boy then asked, “but do you want to be vocal?” She replied, “I’m trying to be. I’m trying to do it little by little. I like how Serena’s also straight to the point. Kasi minsan mahirap sa akin maging straight to the point. Like Serena, when she was in love with Tenten, she told him right away. And sometimes in real life, siyempre mahirap gawin yun but I admire that about her.”
“But would Liza do it?” Boy asked. Blushing, she replied, “I don’t know.”
Boy reminded Enrique of his previous guest appearance on the show wherein he said, “well para sa akin, we treat each other like boyfriend and girlfriend, so yeah, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” which Liza denied in an interview the following day.
Now with the two present, Boy again asked, “are you officially together?”
Liza prompted Enrique to answer, to which he responded, “we will get there I promise you. I promise, we will get there, we will say it when it is right and the parents and everything is all right. But for right now, it doesn’t really matter if it’s not – it’s parang ganoon na rin.”
During the segment Fast Talk, when Liza was asked, “kung bansa si Quen ano siya?” Liza then exclaimed, “Africa!” to both the host’s and Enrique’s surprise. She explained, “because Africa is different, it’s wild like Quen in a good way. I’ve always wanted to go to Africa, it’s a dream of mine to give back there, and he’s like a dream come true,” much to the crowd and Enrique’s delight who then remarked, “ganda ng bawi mo dun ah!”
Enrique was asked, “iniyakan mo na ba si Liza?” He admitted saying, “yeah.” Liza was then asked, “sino ang mas guwapo, si Charlie Puth o si Quen?” Looking at Quen she said, “ay wala na! Siyempre si Enrique.”
Lastly, Enrique was asked to sum up in three words his message to the guys who have crushes on Liza. He jokingly said, “I’ll kill you!” which he followed with a more serious, “sorry kayong lahat.”
