RK Bagatsing on being the next big thing: ‘Hindi ko alam kung paano magrereact doon’

080216-rkria_main.jpgOn Tonight with Boy Abunda, two of the stars of the 100th episode of Ipaglaban Mo, Ria Atayde and RK Bagatsing, talked about the lessons they’ve learned about acting from their family who are also in the showbiz industry.

RK, who admittedly is in a happy relationship, shared that his brother, Raymond Bagatsing, is currently “doing good. Kakagaling lang niya ng Spain. He shot a movie there and tuloy-tuloy pa rin.” On acting, he learned from his Kuya is to, “just look for the truth in any scene that you do.”

Host Boy Abunda mentioned that some say that he’s the next Big Thing in acting, even comparing him to Coco Martin. “I don’t know, that’s the first time I heard it. Hindi ko alam kung paano magrereact doon,” RK humbly said. “Everything is bago sa akin so right now I’m just taking it in – enjoying my current show (Be My Lady) and yung mga project na dumarating.”

On the other hand, Ria talked about the two instances wherein she was supposed to be part of Pinoy Big Brother. She shared, “well the first one kasi, Tito Boy, something came up in the audition process where meron akong nakilala who needed it more than I did. If it’s something that somebody else needs, who am I to take that away from them, di ba? And then the second one, hindi po tumugma sa schedule.”

Both Ria’s mom and brother, Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde, are also in the industry and as it is, they love talking about acting. From mom she learned to, “always use your heart. In every scene, put your heart in it.” While, “with Arjo, always be natural. Try to make it your own, always.”
