Aga Muhlach speaks up on possibility of teen son entering show business.
With people commenting that his teen son Andres Muhlach looks like a heartthrob, Aga Muhlach admitted that he actually gets “kilig” whenever he gets to hear such compliments about his son.
“He’s a really nice boy but he doesn’t have social media. He just got his phone last month. First time nilang magka-phone last month silang magkapatid so they really don’t know what’s happening. But kinilig ako eh nong sinabing parang Daniel (Padilla), James Reid, parang ganon. Sabi ko ‘Oh my gosh’, ganon pala ang feeling ano, seriously kinikilig talaga ako inside,” he said in an interview at the Pinoy Boyband Superstar presscon.
Asked by the press if he will allow Andres to join show business, he responded that he will let his son decide eventually.
“Parang wala sa kanya eh, hindi naman sa ayaw, we never talked about it. I mean in his formative years, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, na wala rin ako sa show business so he doesn’t know that. He goes to school, we travel. But of course I just let him finish high school and then he goes to college and I will let him decide. You know parang as they get older parang hindi ko naman puwedeng sabihing magtapos ka ng kolehiyo para makapaghanapbuhay ka. Kung merong hanapbuhay na magandang papasok sa kanya and if they want it, but not now,” he stated.
Besides his judging stint on Pinoy Band Superstar, Aga is also looking forward to working on a film soon. Asked if he is going to have a reunion movie with Sana Maulit Muli co-star Lea Salonga, he commented, “Matutuloy rin yan. We just have to make sure na we get the right script and if with Lea’s schedule, if her schedule permits it and my schedule, I’m game. Anytime Star (Cinema) is ready, anytime Lea is ready or whoever, I’m ready. I’m back. I’m here.”
