Dionne Monsanto on Claudine Barretto's commending her performance: 'Nakakataba ng puso.'
When it comes to playing the role of Lucy in Tubig at Langis, Dionne Monsanto shared that her "sampalan" scenes in the series are all real.
"'Yung mga sampalan namin never naming pineke kahit isang beses. Meron kaming eksena ni Isabelle Daza next week yata ipapalabas, grabe 'yung sampalan, as in, pulang-pula na 'yung pisngi ko pero siyempre the show must go on kahit nasasaktan ako. It doesn't hinder me kasi from doing the scene but instead it helps me do the scene better kasi nararamdman ko 'yung push," she stated in an interview with Push.com.ph.
According to the actress, playing the role of Lucy in the show has taught her a lot of things.
"Tinuruan niya akong magmahal kahit hindi kayang ibalik 'yung pagmamahal na 'yun sa akin. Tinuruan niya ako to continuously reinvent yourself. Kasi for example with my hairstyle, ang haba dati ng hair ko hanggang waist, tapos naging bob, hanggang naging pixie, hanggang naging undercut na siya, so embrace change kasi it's one thing na hinding-hindi mo maiiwasan eh," she said.
Recently, Claudine Barretto commended her performance in Tubig at Langis. In an Instagram post, Claudine wrote, "“All these actresses are BRILLIANT!! But this (Dionne Monsanto) is a revelation of an actress to watch out for. Ang galing galing mo (Dionne) at isa rin ako sa mga fan mo. Keep it up. All you girls nail all your scenes every day."
Dionne said that she was overwhelmed by the positive feedback she received from Claudine.
"Grabe 'yung nabasa ko 'yun may nag-message sa akin 'Uy girl pinuri ka ni Claudine Barretto,' siyempre ako naman sobrang I was at a loss for words. Tumili lang ako ng bongga, para akong elementary school girl na kinilig ng bongga. Just to get those kind of comments from the Claudine Barretto and she herself is one amazing actress, sobrang nakakataba ng puso. Hindi ko alam paano i-express 'yung tuwa at gratitude," she stated.
