EXCLUSIVE: Trina Legaspi wants to follow in the footsteps of Judy Ann Santos

Was it hard transitioning from a child star into a teen actress that she is now?</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Mahirap kasi naranasan ko ang</i> awkward stage from 14 to 16 years old <i>kasi hindi alam kung saan ako ilalagay eh kung bata ba or dalaga. </i>For three years<i> wala akong</i> project so ‘<i>yun nga ‘yung </i>opportunity<i> na ‘yon, ‘yung</i> opportunity <i>na walang </i>projects, opportunity <i>pa rin siya kasi </i>opportunity<i> siya na makapag</i>-focus <i>ako sa</i> school. <i>Siguro nakabalik lang ako nong</i> 16 years old<i> na ako </i>after <i><a href='http://GoinBulilit.abs-cbn.com'>Goin’ Bulilit</a> </i>jump off <i>na ako sa</i> teens <i>agad.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Trina relayed that she will be starring in a Cinemalaya film next month titled <i>Kusina.</i> “I’m going to be the younger version of Judy Ann Santos,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked if she felt any pressure working with the actress, she admitted, “<i>May kaunting</i> pressure <i>kasi sa galing ni </i>Ms. Judy Ann<i> kailangan mapantayan mo ‘yun </i>so pressured <i>pero </i>happy and honored<i> na ako ang napili sa dami ng nag-</i>audition and<i> tsaka </i>happy <i>din kasi ngayon sa</i> movie<i> na ‘to medyo maco-</i>compare, transition<i> eh, doon makikita kung</i> consistent <i>ba ako so ‘yun maganda ‘yung</i> story, period film so challenging <i>siya kasi medyo </i>drama<i> siya.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Trina admitted that she wants to follow on the footsteps of Judy Ann. “<i>Opo kasi ano siya eh kumbaga </i>veteran actress <i>na siya eh.</i> Hopefully <i>katulad niya nanalo siya ng</i> best actress <i>sa Gawad Urian</i> so <i>‘yun ‘yung isa sa mga g</i>oals <i>ko na ma-</i>recognize <i>ang </i>talent<i> ko sa</i> acting<i> at sa</i> craft <i>ko. Ito talaga ‘yung gusto ko talaga </i>and hopefully <i>masundan ‘yung</i> footsteps <i>niya, sikat siya sa </i>drama<i> na teleserye at ako rin naman</i> I think <i>‘yon ‘yung</i> forte <i>ko.”</i></div><div><br/></div>
