Director Antoinette Jadaone dismayed with Filipinos who illegally distributed the movie ‘The Achy Breaky Hearts’
The Achy Breaky Hearts director Antoinette Jadaone aired her disappointment on her Facebook account after learning that the whole movie was published illegally on Facebook.
“Tama pa rin pala. Pilipino ang papatay sa kapwa Pilipino. Tayo ang pumapatay sa sarili nating industriya. Napakahusay natin humingi ng pagbabago e mga sarili natin, di natin mabago. Ang kakapal ng mga mukha n'yo!” she wrote.
A certain Jan Castillo on Facebook uploaded the full movie, which is illegal according to the “Anti-Camcording Act of 2010” section 3. If found guilty, he could be fined starting with fifty thousand pesos (Php50,000.00) but not exceeding seven hundred fifty thousand pesos (Php750,000.00) and imprisonment of six (6) months and one (1) day to six (6) years and one (1) day.
Direk Antoinette and her colleagues already reported the link and as of this writing, it has already been shut down.
The Achy Breaky Hearts is still shown in major cinemas nationwide. It is top-billed by Jodi Sta. Maria, Ian Veneracion, and Richard Yap.
