Boy Abunda’s partner Bong Quintana recounts a touching moment between Boy and his Nanay

That's a very private moment between Nanay and Boy.”

Pagpapatuloy ni Bong, “proud ako in spite of his busy schedule nakaya niyang gawin ito lalo na yung dissertation niya nakita ko kung paano yung journey. We’re proud of you sana kung ano pa yung gusto mong mangyari sa buhay mo no, andito lang ako susuporta sa’yo. I promise to keep quiet every time nag-aaral ka gaya ng pagsuporta ko sayo kapag pinapatahimik mo ako every time you work.”

Rosario G. Manalo, “In fact I can tell you that when I first met Boy sabi ko sino yang mayabang na yan. I changed my attitude towards him as time goes by. I discovered him to be a very serious student. E talagang pinaghirapan niya yun. He sweated it out.”

“Masipag, walang patawad, nagbabasa, nagtatrabaho. I was actually sitting with the panel on his defense and I can attest pinahirapan talaga siya namin. Pumasa naman. I do hope that you continue further. Even though a Doctoral Degree is the end point in terms of degrees, it is not the end point of the advocacy.”
