They’re more known as actors, but they can also create awesome art pieces. Here are talented stars who are skilled with a paintbrush and a canvas.
1. Ian Veneracion
Flying private planes. Sky diving. Paragliding. These are some of the outdoor sports of actor Ian Veneracion. He also plays the piano and the guitar like a pro. Add to that is his talent for painting.
In one of his interviews, he said his paintings are his “journal entries” because all of his paintings have “a little of me in each of them.”
His main influence is his dad, painter Roy Veneracion. “My dad helped me become an artist but never really forced me to become one.”
Here are images of Ian’s paintings:

2. Solenn Heussaff
Solenn is very interested in the people she comes across during her travels, and their faces are mostly the subjects of her artwork.
Solenn talks of how she learned how to paint. “Every Saturday with my friends, I did tapestry, I did pottery, I did different types of painting, with oil, acrylic, silk painting, there. And then I just continued until the age of 18.”
3. Heart Evangelista
One of Heart’s favorite subjects when she paints is the fish. “Very personal siya (the subject) sa akin kasi noong bata pa ako, nagfi-fishing kami ng Dad ko. It’s a good memory, ’yung childhood ko. One time, nag-uusap kami ng daddy ko, ‘Mag-painting ka kaya ng isda,’” she said. “My dad is Chinese and he said it (fish) is lucky.”
Heart started painting as a child but only came out as a painter in 2014. Her paintings have been likened to the paintings of Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt.
