Memes and videos of catfight scenes involving her and the show’s lead stars have been circulating online.
“It’s something that I did not expect at all. Not for this show, at least kasi akala ko talaga ano lang ako dun, pang-buwisit lang ako. It never occurred to me na may plano silang gawin akong main kontrabida for a time. As for the memes na mga lumalabas, nakakataba ng puso. Sobrang nakakatuwa kasi never kong inexpect. You used to always just see that sa newsfeed mo, di ba? Tapos biglang ako ‘to, ah? Sobrang heartwarming. Tapos hindi ko alam kung gusto ba nila ako o bwisit sila sa akin kasi ‘yung mga pictures sa memes na lumalabas, alam mo ‘yung sobrang hindi flattering ‘yung mukha ko. Nakangiwi palagi ‘yung mukha ko. But then I appreciate. Sobrang appreciated ‘yung efforts ng mga gumagawa ng memes,” she told PUSH.com.ph.
According to Dionne, she does not talk to anyone on set and would just wear her headphones on in preparation for scenes in which her character will be very high-strung. “It’s very opposite to the real me kasi. On a regular day, I’m very perky, napaka-chikadora ko,” she said.
“It’s not the easiest thing to do kasi you have to channel a different version of you,” Dionne added.
When asked if she aspires for an acting award, Dionne replied in the affirmative. “Not for anything. Not to prove to anyone but to prove to myself na I’ve done something right.”
Dionne shared that she already won best actress awards at the 2014 Nabunturan Film Festival and this year’s Sinulog Film Festival.
Nonetheless, she said she is hoping to get a Gawad Urian recognition. “I’m just waiting for a good break for me to be able to prove that I can do that and I can achieve that.”
While she is currently focused on doing Tubig at Langis, Dionne said that she is looking forward to doing two independent films.
Does she have a dream role that she wants to do?
Saying that she is into films that entail the character to wear costumes, Dionne answered, “I want to be a villain na naman for either a period film or a superhero film.”
