After the late afternoon teleserye Pasion de Amor, Arci Munoz will soon be leading her own primetime TV series Never, Ever Say Goodbye opposite Jericho Rosales.
Considering that this is her first primetime project on ABS-CBN, how does Arci feel about it?
“Of course, there’s pressure on me. First primetime tapos ano pa, Jericho Rosales, John Estrada, ang gagaling ng artistang kasama ko… I’m just really glad that they gave me this wonderful opportunity and for me, it’s such a blessing so kaysa isipin ko ‘yung pressure, eh ‘di isipin ko na lang na I’m just really, really blessed,” she told PUSH.com.ph. Arci said that her character is named Arianne. “I’m from the province and then (I have a) big dream to be a lawyer kasi I’ve experienced something when I was younger, ‘yung dad ko, parang I wasn’t able to save him when I was younger so parang ang dream ko talaga is to be a lawyer. Tapos, may nangyari sa’kin na eventually mapupush talaga sa akin na ipursue ‘yung dream na ‘yun,” she narrated, adding that her character will be able to go to Manila, study and fulfill her dream.
As for her on-screen partnership with Jericho, she said, “Pero, ‘yung background ng love story namin ni Echo, bata pa lang kami, childhood sweethearts pa kami tapos may mangyayaring aksidente na magpapahiwalay sa amin na ‘yun din talaga, isa pa ‘yun sa dahilan na magpupush sa akin na pumunta ng Maynila at magtapos ng abogasya.”
Eventually, she will meet the character of Juancho, played by John Estrada. “Siya ‘yung mag-iis-sponsor sa ’kin para makapagtapos ako.”
Talking about their working experiences on the set, Arci shared, “It’s such a pleasant atmosphere whenever we’re working together. It’s my first time to be working with Echo and Kuya John but it’s smooth sailing. So far, so good. It’s just chill. Everybody on the set is very approachable. I’m very happy and very glad na they got me for this role.”
Did she experienced “ilangan” moments with Echo and John?
“Wala. Not even with Kuya John. With Echo, I’m really comfortable with him. The first time pa lang I saw him, of course I was star struck pero eventually, he didn’t make me feel I should be. Sobrang chill niya,” she answered.
