Former onscreen
partners Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual reunited a decade after their last
project.
Judy Ann and
Piolo’s last project was the movie Don’t
Give Up on Us by director Joyce Bernal.
The two got the
chance to engage in the same “project” anew when Judy Ann was introduced as the
one of the three ambassadors of Sun Life Financial Inc. along with Charo
Santos-Concio and Matteo Guidicelli.
Judy Ann, having
been introduced during the Friday press conference first, clarified that she
and Piolo have always been okay.
“Natatawa ako
kanina kasi parang ang feeling ng mga tao ay magkagalit kami,” she began.
The
actress-turned-author pointed out that “Hindi kami magkagalit. Nagbabatian kami
kapag nagkikita kami.”
She surmises
that the public assumes that they are not okay because they haven’t been able
to work together for a while.
“We're older
now, we're more matured. Maybe nama-magnify lang ng mga fans siguro yung
thoughts na kapag nagkasalubong o nagkita,” she said.
“Siguro isang
malaking event para sa kanila ang makita kami sa isang presscon,” Juday
laughed.
Piolo affirmed
what Juday said while adding that they were able to put to rest whatever issue
they had in the past.
“Siyempre, hindi
naman puwedeng isantabi mo lang ang relationship niyo, ‘yung pinagsamahan
niyo,” said Piolo who unabashedly told the press that he would always be
grateful to Juday for she was instrumental in the success of his career.
Once again,
Piolo said that he remains open to work with the acclaimed superstar.
“I actually
pitched it to her already through Direk Joyce and sana magustuhan po niya,”
revealed the Love Me Tomorrow star.
“Nagustuhan
naman daw po niya. Siguro ‘yung time lang po,” he continued.
Piolo shared
that he was able to think about the project while he was taking a break abroad
and studying Christian Apologetics.
Meanwhile, Piolo
shared that he is set to a movie and a new album soon.
