Coleen Garcia is already gearing up for her upcoming movie with Jessy Mendiola and Arci Munoz. The actress is already excited about starting to shoot the movie this week.
“I am very excited. These are two women who are both gorgeous and I can’t imagine, you know, better people for the job because they’re all good at what they do. I’m already close to Arci, I’ve worked with her in Pasion, hopefully the three of us we worked well together on cam,” she said.
When asked if she already foresees a possible comparison among the three of them by the audience, Coleen replied, “What’s nice about this project is lahat kami pantay-pantay dito. We all have our own different moments to shine in this film and most of the work we do together and most of the scenes we’re in together talaga so pantay-pantay talaga. And I’ve read the entire script and hopefully we do it in is such a way na it reflects in the film.”
Besides a new movie, Coleen is also headlining the upcoming Maalaala Mo Kaya episode this Saturday for the first time. Asked to describe her stint on the show, the actress responded, “Well it was a different experience. Iba talaga and iba rin ‘yung pressure kasi MMK so di ba bigatin talaga, it’s mandatory for you to do well and with that pressure I took the pressure and turned it into motivation.”
Coleen will be portraying Pauleen whom she shared has a one-of-a-kind story. “Marami siyang iba’t ibang mental conditions and disease so hopefully this episode will bring even just a little bit of awareness to the Filipino people because there is so much that we have to understand about this topic,” she stated.
What made her say “yes” to doing this episode? “It’s a challenge and I’m always up for a challenge and apart from that I could see it parang a venue to really grow, to actually take it a notch further, to step outside of the box. It’s different from what I used to do; it’s beyond my comfort zone so I was definitely up for it.”
