On Tonight with Boy Abunda, Christopher de Leon, one of the stars of Dukot, shared what he learned from the great Lino Brocka.
“The greatest form of art is discipline.” He added, “mahirap talaga ang disiplina. Mahirap like the day before the shoot you have to really memorize and get into the character; you have to study the material.”
Considered as one of the greatest Filipino actors, Christopher was asked who for him is the greatest actor in the Philippines, and he claimed, “yung yumaong Jay Ilagan.”
On his other endeavors, Christopher shared, “I’m planning to direct [again] hopefully by the end of this year.” Boy recalled that the actor ran for office in 2013, when asked if he has plans again in the future, he said, “hindi na muna siguro. Gusto ko yung legislative process. Gusto ko mapag-aralan how to preside over a meeting, how to come up with laws, ordinances, resolution. Ngayon nagagamit ko rin yan sa mga trabaho ko, like when I did my teleserye here [in ABS-CBN]. I was a governor, I would preside over a meeting. Nagagamit ko rin siya, natututo rin ako.”
On a lighter note, he shared that his favorite leading ladies are, “Nora (Aunor), Vilma (Santos), and (his wife) Sandy.” Asked to choose between lights off or on, he chose, “in between. I want to see.” When choosing between sex and chocolates, he chose, “sex.” And for him the best time for sex is at, “midnight.”
