MTRCB summons ‘Eat Bulaga’ over hosts’ remarks ‘insensitive to women’

In this controversial episode, which drew flak from netizens, the woman who is also the segment winner shared that she begged her husband, who left them, to fix their relationship but to no avail. Grilled on what happened to their failed marriage, the woman revealed that there was a rumor that she was allegedly taken advantage of a male friend while she was drunk but claimed that she cannot recall the event at all. Senator Tito Sotto commented, “Kasalanan ng lahat na ‘yan ng pag-inom... Kababae mong tao, pashot-shot ka.”Another host Jose Manalo agreed and said, “Tama ‘yun… Bilang isang babae o mga babaeng kagaya ng may asawa, hindi natin hinahayaan dapat kung gusto mong uminom, lalaki ka, ‘wag mong isama ‘yung asawa mo. At ikaw naman asawa, ‘wag ka ng dumikit sa inuman kung may kainuman ‘yung asawa mo.” The woman said that it was not how it happened but was immediately asked by Jose, “Naka-shorts ka ba ‘nun?” to which she admitted yes. The woman was also asked by another host Jose Manalo, “Naka-shorts ka ba ‘nun?” to which she admitted yes.
