Exclusive: Enrique Gil says Liza Soberano is the only girl ever approved by his mom right away

That’s why he enjoyed spending time with his mom Bambi while shooting their first TV commercial together. 'Every Sunday before when I was in <i><a href='http://ASAP.abs-cbn.com'>ASAP</a></i> we would always cook together. Every Sunday <i>yun</i>. But now not anymore. It’s very true I’m a mama’s boy <i>kasi siyempre </i>I look like my mom. I’m like a carbon copy of my mom. <i>Ganun talaga eh</i>. Growing up I remember I was so, so jealous of my dad when he’d make lambing to my mom. <i>Ganun ka-</i>mama’s boy<i> ako.</i> When my dad would make lambing her, <i>magagalit ako nun. Iiyak ako,”</i> he shared during the Ajinomoto Pork Savor cooking demo in Quezon City.</div><div><br/></div><div>Used to his mom being in the kitchen, Enrique said he enjoys eating all kinds of dishes. <i>'Lumaki kami na</i> growing up we could not not eat vegetables <i>nung bata </i>pa lang <i>kami. </i>So now any vegetables you give us I eat <i>kasi </i>my mom practiced us <i>talaga.</i> So that’s good,” he recalled.</div><div><br/></div><div>But if there’s one thing the 24-year-old actor does not like, it is the taste of vinegar.<i> 'Siyempre pag noche buena</i> we must have <i>lechon di ba? Ibig sabihin</i> the next day <i>paksiw na yun. Masarap yun. Hindi ko gusto yung suka pero pag may paksiw hindi ko nalalasahan yung suka</i> so okay <i>lang. Pag masyadong malakas yung lasa ayoko pero pag may halo na okay lang.</i> Sweet and sour fish <i>okay lang sa akin. Paborito ko yung adobo. Yung acidity lang siguro masyadong malakas sa panlasa ko. Hindi ko gusto,”</i> he admitted.</div><div><br/></div><div>As a busy Kapamilya, Quen shared his secret to maintaining a good physique and keeping himself happy. 'In our job right now <i>bihira lang kasi makapag-</i>exercise. <i>Eh kasi ako pag-da-diet kami ayoko talaga</i> to be honest. <i>Sino bang may gusto ng diet di ba</i>? If you go one whole day <i>na</i> diet food <i>ka lang </i>for some reason<i> hindi ako masaya. </i>Or <i>hindi kumpleto yung araw ko or mainit yung ulo ko. Alam mo yung you</i> feel so deprived that you can’t have one good meal so<i> para sa akin </i>the most important part of the day is <i>kahit sa umaga lang kahit isang masarap na kain. </i>It helps a lot for the whole day. So I make sure <i>kahit may diet ako,</i> I need one good meal in that day to make my whole day happy. And when my mom cooks it tastes even better pa.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Even when his <a href='http://dolceamore.abs-cbn.com/'><i>Dolce Amore</i></a> co-star Liza Soberano comes over to visit, Quen said they like preparing their own food. 'Actually <i>sa bahay </i>we want to eat stuff <i>na ginagawa lang namin.</i> I guess <i>s</i>a Instagram<i> pag may nakitang</i> page <i>na</i> do-it-yourself so we make stuff <i>na</i> very unhealthy (laughs). Just to have fun <i>lang, mga </i>cheese balls or burrito. L<i>aging kini-</i>crave<i> din niya sinigang</i>,” he revealed. During the Pork Savor event, Quen’s mom Bambi shared that one of Liza’s favorite food is spaghetti carbonara. </div><div><br/></div><div>After meeting each other’s families, Quen said that Liza was immediately given a warm welcome by his family. 'I’m good for it <i>kasi alam ko naman.</i> Actually she was the only girl ever <i>na</i> approved right away <i>na walang problema.</i> Yeah that’s true (she’s different from other girl I’ve liked). Liza is a really good girl and she balances me out,” he admitted.</div><div><br/></div>
