EXCLUSIVE: Director Rahyan Carlos calls his film ‘Ringo: The Dog-Shooter’ an ‘acting piece’
His new film is Ringo: The Dog-Shooter na entry sa ikatlong World Premieres Film Festival (WPFF) na mapapanood from June 29 to July 10 in selected cinemas.

His last film naman was also a horror, ang Hide and Sick na first team-up naman ng mag-inang Jean at Jennica Garcia na ipinalabas noong November 2007.

Eh, bakit nga ba ngayon lang ulit siya gumawa ng pelikula after nine years?

“I just want to do an acting piece film na eto ngang Ringo and I have a story to tell. This is my comeback film na ipapalabas,” sey niya sa Push.com.ph.

Ano ba ang expectations niya sa Ringo: The Dog-Shooter?

“Sana panoorin ng mga tao especially the dog lovers and the LGBT world kasi parang ang gusto kong i-prove dito, there’s no gender when it comes to loving a person.

“Hindi ako nahirapan at all.

“Number one priority ko pa rin is teaching acting because nobody teaches ABS-CBN. I’m having the training of all actors of Star Magic (under Mr. M). Siguro I want to do indie films or commercial films but not soap muna. Kasi ang soap opera eats up my time. Wala na akong magagawa pag soap, eh.

“I love doing films once in a while but still my priority is teaching acting.

“I’m just behind the scene. Every time they will win, they have projects ako yung unang pumapalakpak sa kanila. Para bang… all of them I have a piece of them, parang ganu’n,” pagmamalaki pa niya.

About the controversial lesbian scene ni Janice de Belen with Liza Dino sa pelikulang Ringo, paano ba niya na-convince ang aktres?

“Because of the story, nagustuhan niya at  saka pareho kaming dog lover.
