Ruffa Gutierrez would love to be an ambassador in case she gets tapped to be part of the Duterte government.
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez gave a swift reply when asked whether it was true that her mother Annabelle Rama received a government post offer from President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.
In an interview during a press conference by beauty brand Cosmo Skin to address the fraudulent online articles tagging Ruffa, she blurted out that it was not true that her mother was offered the Movie And Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB) chairmanship.
While she hopes that her mother can work in the government in an area “she enjoys and something that she’s good at,” Ruffa said that her mother was not offered anything.
“But I know that there were talks about like certain things from friends and she said no,” said Ruffa.
She continued, “Ang sabi ni Mommy ayaw daw niya mag MTRCB kasi lahat ng mga producers makakaaway niya. Tsaka wala siyang tiyaga na manood ng movies from morning until evening. So I don’t think that position will be good for her.”
Annabelle made headlines over a month ago after meeting with President-elect Rody.
“I think it was more of a courtesy call because he does know our family in Cebu,” she said.
“So ayun. Parang ako nagugulat nalang ako na ‘Ay nasa Davao pala! Ano meron?’ Hopefully I’ll get to meet him one day. Super bait daw niya,” added Ruffa.
With the President-elect still naming his cabinet members, the press posed a hypothetical question to Ruffa about the position that she might want to take on, if she was tapped to join the government.
The beauty-queen-turned-actress shared that she would like to be an ambassador to a small country where she can peacefully retire. According to her, being an ambassador was one of her childhood dreams.
