It’s Showtime #Hashtags’ member McCoy de Leon kept on bringing up Girl Trendz’s member Maris Racal during the press conference for his group’s first album on Thursday, June 2.
When asked who he wants to be part of their concert should it push through, he answered Maris, adding that he wants to do a duet with her. He gave the same answer when asked whom he wants to go on a road trip with. Joking that he would take her to the stars or to somewhere cold, he said that they would go to the city of Baguio.
“Walang halong showbiz po talaga ito kasi masarap kasama po talaga si Maris pagka mga kulitan, hindi ka mabobore. Tawag ko nga sa kanya, ‘buang’ eh kasi baliw talaga ‘pag na kasama mo siya. Kung saang lugar po? Bituin? Hindi, joke lang. Siguro po sa malamig na lugar… Siguro po sa Baguio.”
So, what’s the real score between McCoy and Maris who are onscreen partners in the late afternoon show, We Will Survive
“Sobrang enjoy lang po namin ‘yung bawat time na magkasama po kami. Sobrang close lang talaga namin, gano’n talaga. Kasi kapag minsan, kapag katrabaho mo… pagka-off cam parang wala lang sa amin,” he told some members of the press after the event, sharing how comfortable he is with Maris behind the camera.
Fellow Hashtags’ member, Jon Lucas who is also on We Will Survive as the third wheel to the two, agreed and said, “Napapansin ko nga po off-cam, parang sobrang kumportable na sila sa isa’t-isa. Nagbibiruan sila, nagkikilitian sila, (snap) sa Snapchat,” he said.
McCoy said, “Ilang months pa lang kaming magkakilala. Nandoon pa lang kami sa stage na getting to know each other. Ayun po, hindi po natin masabi kung anong puwedeng mangyari.”
Meanwhile, Jon assured that him being a third wheel to McCoy and Maris’s love team is purely for work only. “Hindi po, trabaho lang po talaga ito. Para po sa kanila rin ito.” McCoy, on the other hand, said that he is happy to work with Jon as he is already comfortable with him.
