062916-marco_main.jpgFrom the afternoon soap Tubig at Langis, actor Marco Gumabao will soon be on the primetime slot through the upcoming teleserye Never, Ever Say Goodbye staring Arci Munoz and Jericho Rosales.

Saying that his character in this TV series is very different from the previous one, Marco said, “Sa Tubig, isa akong anak na medyo mahirap kami, di ba? Hindi kami gaanong kayaman. Dito naman, total opposite ako. Parang rebelde akong anak. Talagang bad boy at saka mayaman.”

Although he has not started working on the show yet, Marco revealed that she will be paired onscreen with It’s Showtime Girl Trends member Mica Rivera.

“Mas masaya rin syempre primetime na siya ngayon so mas magiging seryoso talaga ‘yung work namin and I think now na gusto nila Direk na kami na talaga ni Mica ‘yung i-love team so excited naman ako. Si Mica, she’s really nice and lahat ng interests ko, interests din niya,” he said, admitting that it was his first time to get to know her.

Marco added, “Hindi pa (kami naghahang out). We’re going to plan it also. We want to be closer to each other and build a chemistry para mas maging madali ‘yung work namin.”

After being given a love team partner for a primetime show, does Marco aspire to be a lead actor someday?

He answered, “Oo naman, of course. I hope in the near future ma-bless ako ni God siyempre ng sarili kong show and sana ‘yung love team talaga na talagang gagana. Now, prayer ko talaga na makahanap ako ng love team ko because now, medyo trial and error pa rin. I don’t mind because patience rin naman. Hindi naman agad-agad na makikita mo ‘yung love team mo.” Marco also mentioned that although his on-screen team up with Ingrid dela Paz in Tubig at Langis worked, he was told that they were only paired for the show only.

The actor was also aware of the popularity that the catfight scenes in their show Tubig at Langis have been garnering. Clips featuring the heated arguments mostly between lead stars Christine Reyes, Isabel Daza, and Zanjoe Marudo are circulating online.

According to Marco, even though their show has a very dramatic theme, the cast members are all on good terms.

’Yung mga eksena laging puro sampalan so siguro iniisip ng mga tao na sa set siguro, walang nagpapansinan diyan pero total opposite talaga. Lahat kami close na close sa isa’t isa. ‘Yung bonding talaga namin pagkain,” he said.

Minsan kasi nanununod kami ng live eh. Talagang totohanan talaga. Walang double-double, lahat seryoso. Pero ang maganda naman sa kanila, before they take the scene, ‘Uy, trabaho lang ‘to ah. Parang sorry kung malakasan ko pero trabaho lang.’ Ayun ang maganda kasi nakita mo ‘yung professionalism nila,” Marco, who earlier revealed that he sees the cast members as inspiration, said.
