As part of the top-rating Primetime Bida series Dolce Amore, Liza Soberano admitted she is still constantly trying to adapt to the teleserye’s busy work schedule. “I’m coping. Well actually I have to do it so I just go to everything that I have to do. Work is work and it’s still a blessing. Right now we’re in the part of the story where Tenten and Serena are finally together so they’re going to be very happy about it especially the fans. But then there’s going to be another heavy twist and I don’t know how much I can say about it eh,” she shared during the ABS-CBN Gabi ng Pangarap Trade Event held last June 27 at the SMX convention center in Pasay city.
Being part of one of the country’s top love teams is also an added pressure for Liza. "Well of course it gets harder and harder because siyempre as you gain followers there’s more expectations. Siyempre they’re giving me better and better projects so I have to really prove to them that I’m worthy of those projects and that I can handle it. Of course I’m different now. I’ve matured from since the beginning and I’m getting kind of used to it,” she admitted.
After she admitted that she had a crush on Enrique Gil before they started working together in Forevermore, Liza said that they are now closer than ever. But even though everyone wants to know if they are now more than friends, she only wanted to admit that they are on the right path. "That’s more on a personal note (between me and Quen) so they can’t really control what happens in our personal life but of course if ever gusto din naman namin yun. But of course we choose to take it slowly,” she added.
With speculations that came out earlier this year that she was being considered for lead role in the remake of Darna, her loyal fans became even more hopeful when part of her dialogue in a recent episode of Dolce Amore had her shouting out ‘Darna!’ in one of the scenes. But the 18-year-old actress dismissed this as not being a clue to who will really get the much coveted role. "It was just part of the script. It doesn’t mean anything naman talaga. Because there’s speculation before I think so they were just teasing the audience,” she said.
Liza said it would be a role of a lifetime if ever she gets offered to play the iconic Pinoy superhero. She admitted that she wants to do more physically challenging roles in the future. "Oo naman it would be an honor to play Darna but I don’t know if I’m ready just yet (laughs). But I want to do action talaga. Wala lang, parang cool lang na parang mga superhero or like zombie or something like that,” she said.
