After doing the Star Cinema film Love Me Tomorrow, Coleen Garcia admitted she looks forward to doing more projects this year. The 23-year-old actress also said that she still plans to continue her Psychology studies in the future. “Oo sana pero now kasi because of the schedule I haven’t been there in a while pero tinuloy ko,” she explained.
Having joined showbiz in 2011 when she signed up with Star Magic, Coleen said she has already learned how to deal with bashers and negative people. "I learned to ignore it already. Iniisip ko na lang na I already got this far, nakarating na ako sa punto na ito na hindi ako nagpadala sa mga bashers, hindi ako nakinig sa mga sinasabi ng mga hindi nakakakilala sa akin. So if I give up now kung nakikinig ako sa kanila sayang naman lahat ng pinagdaanan ko,” she shared.
Coleen said that having fans and critics are unavoidable in showbiz. But she still cannot understand why so many people bully others online. "I’ve accepted and I understand hindi pa rin nawawala yun when it comes to everyone because I realize even when I was in high school when I wasn’t in showbiz yet talagang may mga haters tayong lahat. There are people in our lives who are set to put us down or bring us down and the whole process of getting to where we want to go includes dealing with those things. But some people really go too far. I’ve read in so many articles that bashers and haters and insensitive words really cause suicides and bullying causes suicides so if your mean enough to drive a person to do something like that then it’s really not right already,” she explained.
In her last movie Love Me Tomorrow, Coleen said she was able to learn something new about love. "I realized that in my personal life na kailangan mo maging ready para tumanggap ng pag-ibig at para ibigay yung pag-ibig mo sa ibang tao. You really have to learn to love yourself first. You have to learn how to stand strong and be whole as a person bago mo ibigay yung sarili mo sa ibang tao,” she admitted.
