On Tonight with Boy Abunda, two of the stars of the upcoming film The Achy Breaky Hearts, Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion shared their biggest lessons in love.
“That loving yourself is not selfish at all. It’s really about knowing your value and your worth as a woman, and we should never apologize for having high standards in love; because the right man or the man who really wants to be in your life will rise up to meet those standards,” Jodi stressed.
Although noticeably happy, the actress claimed she is not yet ready to date, “no, I’m not yet ready, but I know when the time is right maybe I will.”
Meanwhile Ian had this to say for men who are currently in pain because of love. “If it doesn’t kill you, it just makes you stronger. And life is too short, so it’s ‘go big or go home.’ If you decide to love and get hurt again, then get hurt again. Give it a hundred percent all the time.”
When asked if a man should walk away when the only recourse, the actor declared, “I’ll probably fight for it ‘til the end.”
Ian who said his edge from Richard Yap is his playfulness described Jodi as, “funny, ridiculously beautiful, and kind.”
