Charo Santos-Concio talks about her new movie with John Lloyd Cruz

<div><img src='' alt='061616-CSC_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>After retiring earlier this year as the president and CEO of ABS-CBN, Charo Santos-Concio admitted she never imagined herself becoming a beauty ambassador for the very first time in her long career. '<i>Masayang masaya (ako ngayon).</i> I mean I never imagined that at 60 I’d be endorsing a beauty product and so I hope I’m able to inspire a lot of women to pursue their dreams, to continue enjoying life, to continue facing your fears and live your dreams. <i>Hindi naman nagtatapos ang buhay</i> when you get to 60. In fact, age and beauty are not really opposites, they’re good friends. Because with age comes a lot of wisdom, with age comes achievement, success, dignity, a lot of lessons learned, inner peace, a calm mind, and serenity and all of these equals beauty right? So age equals beauty (laughs). Age is just a number,” she shared during the Olay Night Ritual presscon held last June 15 at the Shangri-la Hotel at the Fort in Taguig.</div><div><br/></div><div>The <i><a href='http://mmk.abs-cbn.com'>Maalaala Mo Kaya</a></i> host also talked about her return to the big screen as part of Lav Diaz’s new film project. 'I feel great. I hope to be able to inspire women. It feels like starting over again. I’m having fun. I’m re-discovering how it’s like to be facing the cameras again (laughs). It’s like having a great adventure. It feels good to be back. It feels good to be working with young people. I’m learning a lot from them and I’m bringing back the lessons that I picked up back to ABS-CBN,” she shared. Working with one of the Kapamilya network’s top talents in the project is also a big deal for Charo Santos-Concio. 'I did a movie with John Lloyd (Cruz). I feel very grateful that he accepted the project. He’s great. He’s very good. He’s very focused on his craft,” she added.</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked for details about her role, the veteran actress said her character is a very simple woman but refused to add any more to that statement. <i>'Parang hindi pa panahon. At saka parang sa tamang panahon (dapat). Eh parang hindi pa ito yung tamang panahon</i>. <i>Ma-she-share din yan sa inyo. Malalaman niyo din yan. </i>But it was a great experience to work with John Lloyd,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>With her return to acting, Charo Santos-Concio admits she does not want to put a limit to what she wants to do onscreen for now. '<i>Hindi ko alam. Hindi ko nga iniisip eh. Parang</i> whatever comes my way and I feel good about it then I’m open to it. I take it one day at a time. You know when the offer came, Lav Diaz asked me if I would be interested. He sent me the script. I fell in love with the character and so I said yes,” she admitted.</div><div><br/></div>

Charo Santos-Concio admits she enjoyed going back to acting.
