So in 2012, Alex came out with her first album and true to her word, the album was free.
Her music video, which is directed by actress Meryl Soriano, is called “Swept Away” and was written in 2012.
She explains that she was always given kontrabida roles.
So Alex said she asked for a breather and after she did “Swept Away” everything changed. She told herself that she would accept all those kontrabida roles and use the money she earns to create songs and music videos.” Suddenly, her being kontrabida served a purpose but then again, “for a very selfish reason kaya bumabawi na lang ako sa indie film.”
Alex said that she’s very proud of her filmography. “Iniingatan ko yun.”
Asked if she is in a relationship with Marc Abaya, her leading man in her music video, Alex said, “hindi talaga. Mag-kaibigan talaga kami. Ganun.”
Alex’s music remains free and she has no intention of making money from it.
Alex has been nominated for a Gawad Urian as Musical Director for her musical score for the movie Water Lemon.
