Alma Concepcion shares her past experience using illegal drugs

061516-alma_main.jpgAlma Concepcion helped authorities’ investigation on the deaths at the Closeup Forever Summer Event last May by being a witness to what happened at the concert.

She says she wants her experience 18 years ago serve as a lesson to the youth today.

"I don't want my son to experience what I experienced and I don't want any teenager to experience iyong nangyari lately. Parang, wow at may mas grabe pa pala sa nangyari sa akin,” she told ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe on TV Patrol yesterday, June 14.

In 1998, Alma pleaded guilty for possessing .08 grams of shabu in Guam where she was detained for 23 days. She revealed that at the age of 21, she was under a lot of peer pressure.

“We should use history to make us better people. Sana iyong susunod na henerasyon, iyong mga pagkakamali namin ay ‘wag na nilang ulitin,” she said.

Alma also expressed her enthusiasm over the incoming administration’s fight against illegal drugs in the country.

"I'm very, very happy na magkakaroon na ng environment na hopefully magiging clean for the next generation. The kids kasi nowadays are even proud of flaunting it [drug use]. So nakakatakot na."
