Ruffa Gutierrez just shrugged off her mother Annabelle Rama's allusion about her as "bobita in love."
The feisty talent manager who launched her book Day Hard last year, was apparently referring to Ruffa on her book.
According to Ruffa, she knew about this after some of her curious friends asked her about the book's content.
"Sabi nila, 'Grabe your Mom is so funny! Ikaw ba 'yung nasa book niya?' Ako pala yung bobita na sinasabi niya!” she said during a recent press conference for her endorsement Cosmo Skin.
Although she admits that her mother is a motormouth, Ruffa said she recognizes the importance of Annabelle's advice.
"Actually, the way my mom gives advice there are some things na naniniwala ako, there are some things naman na hindi," she said.
Which of Annabelle's advice does she agree with?
"Naniniwala ako na dapat higpitan ang mga anak. But the way that she did it, medyo masakit sa tenga," she said.
Amid all the "pingot" that she got from Annabelle back in the day, Ruffa has come to realize that her mother's strictness did all the good for her.
"Because in this day and age hindi mo na masasabi ang mga lalaki that are out there. Pinoproteksyunan lang niya ako," she said.
According to Ruffa, she was actually able to ask Annabelle if she was really the "bobita sa pag-ibig" on the latter's book.
"Sabi niya, 'Oo siyempre 'Day, ikaw na nga 'yun!'" shared Ruffa, adding that "Hindi naman siya nagsisinungaling eh."
Meanwhile, Ruffa revealed that she is also set to release her own book this year.
"Mine will also contain fashion tips and it's going to be light and more girly," she described her book.
Interestingly though, Annabelle gave Ruffa some advice about what she should include in her book.
"Sabi ni Mommy, 'Naku, 'Day, huwag mo nang pag-usapan ang mga ex mo sa darating mong libro, walang bibili niyan, kadiri.' Sabi ko, 'Ma, iba ang story ng libro ko, it's about my life and it's about love,'" she explained.
