Michael Pangilinan says that Garie Concepcion’s family accepts the fact he has a baby
060116-MichaelPangilinan_PUSH.jpgA day after going public about his relationship with singer Garie Concepcion, Michael Pangilinan and his new girlfriend were spotted at their first event as a couple.

Garie was present during the Tuesday premiere night of Michael’s debut movie with EA Guzman titled Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako, which was inspired by the song of the same name.

However Michael still refused to reveal the specifics of his romance with veteran star Gabby Concepcion’s daughter.

“Okay lang umamin ako pero hindi niyo kailangan malaman ang detalye ng pagmamahalan namin. I have my own private life and I’m happy now. We’re really, really good and we’re really, really happy and I’m so proud of her, kung ano man siya ngayon and kung ano man kami ngayon,” he explained.

According to Michael, he and Garie agree on so many things including “trabaho, sa time management, sa decision-making and sa respeto sa isa’t-isa.”

As mentioned on his interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Michael is on good terms with Garie’s family, especially her mother Grace Ibuna.

“Actually both sides we’re good. Nakakapunta ako sa kanila, nakakapunta siya sa amin and nakakapagusap naman both ang families namin,” he said.

Michael added, “Sa family ni Garie wala akong masasabi. Tinanggap nila ako.”

The singer even stressed that Garie’s family even accepted his baby.

“‘Yun ang pinakaminahal ko sa kanilang lahat,” he began.

Michael said he believes that it is especially hard to find someone like them these days.

“Kunwari ako ang babae, hindi ako maghahanap ng may anak ‘di ba? Gusto ko wala. Doon ko napatunayan na hindi ‘yung mga pangit ang tinitignan sa ‘yo eh. Kundi kung ano ang meron sa puso mo,” he explained.

Michael is keen on not committing the same “mistake” that he has committed in the past especially since it has paved the way for him to mature.

“Kung ano man ang mga pinagdaanan ko before, tinake ko ‘yun as a lesson for me. I think nakatulong ‘yun sa kahit ano mang ginagawa kong desisyon ngayon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Michael revealed that he and Garie’s father Gabby Concepcion have yet to meet.

“Sabi ni Tito Boy kung ano daw ang sasabihin ko kapag nagkita kami, sabi ko naman ‘Wag kayong magalala, mamahalin ko ang anak ninyo gaya ng pagmamahal niyo sa kanya!” he ended.

Michael’s debut film with EA Guzman, Trina Legaspi, Matt Evans, Joross Gamboa, and Hashtags member Nikko Seagal is set to come out in theaters nationwide on June 8.
