On Tonight with Boy Abunda, Kiko Matos explained why he punched actor Baron Geisler. “Baron Geisler went to stage and he wanted to jam. On the last time, me and my friends were telling him to step down. And then on the mic, he told us to get out of the bar. He was saying foul words and we didn't like it, so I stood up. And when I did that, I got Baron Geisler's attention."
Asked why they were seen in the video about to shake hands, Kiko said, “nung tumayo ako, kasi hinahamon na ako ni Baron e, and then may nag-declare na shake hands. Gusto ko lang talaga ipakita kay Baron na huwag niyang gagawin iyong mga ganoon kaya binigyan ko siya ng isa."
He adds, “I stood for what I think was right and to let him know na hindi puwede iyong pag-aasta niya. Kumbaga sabi nga nung mga tao, nakahanap siya ng katapat. Naghanap lang ako ng lakas ng loob para tapatan siya.”
Nonetheless, Kiko said he is willing to end his tiff with Baron. “I can settle with him peacefully. I can step down and say sorry, but if he's going to continue how he acts then I'm going to let him know, 'Bro, you’ve got to change yourself.’”
The Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) said Baron and Kiko have both agreed to settle their fight “inside the cage” at the Palace Pool Club on June 25.
