Philippine politics is not complete without campaign jingles during elections. Even if it can be annoying to hear these jingles, you can’t deny that these songs can give you LSS (Last song syndrome). Push lists down some unforgettable campaign jingles from the past. (Campaign ads of those who are currently running for the 2016 elections are not included).

Jamby Madrigal

Jamby Madrigal served as senator in 2004. After one term, she ran for the presidency in 2010 but lost to present President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Loren Legarda

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo sang Loren Legarda’s catchy jingle when she ran for Vice President in the 2010 elections. Loren is the only female to top two senatorial elections—1998 and 2007. She ran for Vice President in 2004 and 2010.

Pia Cayetano

Pia Cayetano, daughter of Atty. Rene Cayetano was the youngest woman elected as a Senator in the Philippines. She was first elected senator in 2004 and re-elected in 2010. Pia was also known as “Compañera Pia.”

Manny Villar

Manny Villar entered politics in 1992 as to the House of Representatives where he represented Las Piñas-Muntinlupa and was chosen as Speaker of the House of Representatives in 1998. He ran for senator in 2001 and won the re-election in 2007. Manny ran for the position of President in 2010 under Nacionalista Party.

Lito Atienza

Lito Atienza was elected Mayor and took his oath of office on June 24, 1998, re-elected in 2001 and finally in 2004.
