Recovering from the death of his father last March, actor and band vocalist Kean Cipriano chooses to be positive, saying that death is a celebration of life.
“When you talk about death, it’s always heartbreaking and hurtful, di ba? Pero when you look at the brighter side of things, it’s actually a celebration of life. Of course, there’s something to be sad about, you miss the person, being with the person physically. You only get to talk to the person in prayers pero iba rin ‘yung buhay na ginawa ng tatay ko. He lived a solid, good life. He touched a lot of people through his works and through his life kaya masayang-masaya kami,” he said.
Talking more about his happy family life, he also said that his wife Chynna Ortaleza is doing good. “Everything is good,” he further assured. However, when asked if she had given birth already, Kean opted to keep any update private, “Honestly, we’re just not really that (open to that pa), oo eh. Parang it’s family…”
Moreover, he said, “Sinasabi, ‘hey, public people kayo so how are you going to be quiet about it and all that? You’re in the public arena.’ Kami naman, we keep the details to ourselves and when I say details, details, di ba? Of course, everyone’s going to see us anywhere. I mean we’re visible, we don’t hide.”
According to Kean, they still do their regular routines like doing the groceries, going to the cinemas, and to the church. Only, instead of talking about their personal family life, they prefer to keep the details secret.
Meanwhile, the Callalily vocalist felt overwhelmed with the support people gave during the Dolce Amore Destiny World Tour kickoff that was held at the Lapu Lapu Shrine in Luneta Park last Sunday, May 1.
He also said that Dolce Amore is so far, the best teleserye he has ever done in his showbiz career. Talking about how the show affects the lives of the viewers, he said, “Nagulat ko sa kung paano ‘yung reception ng tao especially when we go out on a normal (day) tapos biglang they go to you and tell you na, ‘napapasaya ako ng show niyo every night,’ ‘may sakit ‘yung mom ko pero you make her happy dahil napapasaya niyo siya doon sa show.’”
When asked if he will be joining in the world tour, Kean admitted that he does not know his schedule yet. Nonetheless, he is excited. “I would love to meet all the people who patronizes Dolce Amore wholeheartedly,” he said, adding that he wants to give back the love by meeting the fans personally.
