Days after people suspected that Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco had called it quits, the couple finally spoke up through a long Instagram post. The issue initially started from their Instagram account that got hacked and had a post that said “MelaSon is over.”
In an initial interview for Tonight with Boy Abunda, Jason denied the separation and claimed that they were okay.
But on May 27, they posted a short clip of their family and told their followers that the issue just got blown out of proportion.
They also said that in the ambush interview with Jason, it was obvious that they were going through something. Melai who is part of the show We Will Survive and one of the hosts of Magandang Buhay seldom sees her husband who is part of the afternoon series My Super D.
MelaSon assured their followers that they won’t let a petty misunderstanding get in the way of their marriage for they love each other so much and still have dreams for their family.
They thanked those who stood by them during those tough times.
“Di kami maghihiwalay dahil ang tanging sandata lang namen ay ang aming pagmamahalan at respeto sa isat isa,” they wrote in the end.
