When Diego Loyzaga posted photos of two of them posing like a real couple along with a sweet caption, many assumed this was an indirect admission of their relationship. Sofia said she feels flattered that people would think of them that way. "Yung tatlong posts? hank you po. I’m happy though kasi nga ganun siya. Kumbaga wala ding nag-po-post din sa akin ng ganun. I feel so special naman din,” she admitted.
The 17-year-old actress said not even their complementing fashion sense is a sign that they are more than friends. "We’re not naman talaga. We go out. Yung twinning outfits? hindi siya pinag-uusapan I swear laging ganun. Pero now focused na kami. Yung friendship dapat maayos, hindi mamadaliin,” she explained.
When asked if she thinks Diego is boyfriend material, Sofia admitted he has a lot of good qualities. “Oo naman. He’s such a gentleman at saka appreciative siya and caring. Mukha lang siyang pag unang tingin mo parang bad boy or parang, ‘Ay, chickboy yan.’ Hindi pala. Yun din yung first impression ko sa kanya sinasabi ko naman yun eh,” she shared.
Sofia said her TV project with Diego is actually still in the works. "Pero yung serye namin medyo siguro kasi ngayon puro workshop kami eh. Pero for sure siguro next year pa. Yun naman yung importante eh para mas maganda yung chemistry,” she said.
She said she is enjoying their acting workshops at the moment. "Kasama ko si Ronnie Alonte sa serye. Okay naman. Nakaka-nine na kami na workshops. I’m still praying for it na sana makapag-taping na kami kasi mahirap schedules namin pag pinagsama-sama kami,” she added.
Even though they are just friends, Sofia shared how Diego might feel if she suddenly had a new suitor. "Haha! I don’t think so. (laughs) Baka medyo mag-react siya (laughs),” she admitted.
Sofia also shared that part of the reason she does not want to rush into any relationship right now is because of what happened before with another co-actor. "Kasi di ba before with Inigo mahirap? We’re friends now. We’re over it (laughs). Okay na ako,” she admitted.
