Alma Concepcion narrates what she witnessed in "Forever Summer" event
Actress Alma Concepcion 052416-AlmaConcepcion_PUSH.jpg narrated on her Facebook account what she witnessed in the “Close Up Forever Summer” event last Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia open concert grounds.

It was reported that five people who attended the concert died. Authorities are still investigating the claims that drug-laced drinks were the cause of death of the party-goers.

"It was my first time to attend such event.. I was curious and my son was even weirded out that I was going… he said I won't fit in… I shrugged and said, I have to be up dated to keep up with the times… and besides, music such as the type is for everyone," Alma started narrating.

She continued that she saw teenagers who were acting unusual during the concert.

"I saw the teenagers dancing, wearing shades, masks, chewing gums -- they came in prepared with all the props. Masks, inhalers, lights, shades, bandana to cover face. They don’t look like first timers in taking ecstacy.

"There was this teenage group (same age range as my son's )in front of us, that were obviously into something else... they danced for more than an hour, none of them holding any liquid. Obviously they weren’t on JUST alcohol… their eyes were rolling, teeth grinding and they were dancing non-stop for the whole hour (or more than). No liquids."

She also spotted a teenager who fell down during the event.

"And then I saw this girl from that same group slowly going down on the floor and reaching out to her bf... her eyes were still open, when she hugged the guy, I noticed something wrong… her hands became stiff ... I approached them and told their group to go to the medics... simultaneously, Atty. Py called a security to the scene... as the bf was trying to carry the girl, I saw her legs stiffen together with the arms… We hoped on our way home that she's ok…"

She hopes that the incident will be a lesson-learned for parents and kids. "RIP to those who died from last night… never overestimate your bodies… to parents with teenagers like me, let this serve as a lesson to all of us and our kids..."

Close-up has already released a statement regarding the incident, stressing that they placed very stringent measures and precautions to ensure the safety and security of all attendees involved.

They also extended their sympathies to the families of those who passed away. "Our efforts are now focused on supporting those needing medical assistance so they may fully recover. We are fully cooperating with the authorities in the ongoing police investigations," the statement said.

Company president Annie Garcia of SM Supermalls also issued a statement regarding the incident.

"We would like to express our sympathies towards the unfortunate incident that happened at the Open Concert Grounds at MOA. We are assisting the event organizers, Close Up Phil., its agencies, and the authorities in the investigation."
