Coleen Garcia on fighting for Billy Crawford: ‘It was worth it’
052116-coleen_main.jpgOn Tonight with Boy Abunda, Love Me Tomorrow star Coleen Garcia reacted to being labeled “millennial Lolita.” Coleen said, “I haven’t read the book. I’ve seen the movie. I’ve seen the Stanley Kubrick film and I love the character, although the story I really don't relate to that. Although the character I like her.” Coleen said she knows being called thus means she’s the generation’s “sex symbol” and she said, “nakakapressure kasi bawal na ako tumaba.”

Host Boy Abunda also asked her about her relationship with Kapamilya host Billy Crawford, “Today when you look at Billy, you’re so in love with each other and then you went through that journey, ano yung subtext. Ano yung iniisip mo?” Coleen answers, “it was worth it, that's all I can think of. It was worth it kasi imagine if I didn't… I can’t even imagine what it would have been like if I didn't fight for him. I don't know where I would be now, I don't know what life would be like. I’m so inspired. I guess it translates also in everything I do. I don't think I’d be doing as well as I am right now if I wasn't with him.”

She told Boy, “and I was doubtful and you know that… Saksi ka sa pinagdaanan namin ‘di ba, and nag-text pa siya sa’yo.”

During her interview with Boy, Billy was in the audience with Coleen’s dad. Asked if her dad likes Billy, Coleen said, “he loves Billy, they get along so well.” Do they talk about something she doesn't know about? She said, “They are together a lot without me being there. They hang out even when I’m not there so maari.”
