Dawn Zulueta says she has no apprehensions with presumptive president Duterte
051916-DawnZulueta_PUSH.jpgKapamilya actress Dawn Zulueta said that everyone will have a takeaway from watching their upcoming Star Cinema movie, Love Me Tomorrow co-starring Piolo Pascual and Coleen Garcia as it deals with three characters from different generations.

“With my particular case, it’s a woman on the verge of renaissance. With Piolo’s character, it’s a character of a man who’s still finding himself and the character of Coleen, she’s this young, young lady who is on the rise in popularity but is also still quite lost and not sure of herself. And then all these characters come together and learn lessons together,” she said, describing where the movie characters are coming from.

“I think it’s interesting because it is set in a backdrop where a lot of people will be able to relate to especially this young generation, the millennials,” she added, saying that the movie is also very light.

Meanwhile, in light of the recent national elections, Dawn said that she has no apprehensions with presumptive president, Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

“Wala akong apprehensions. I think kasi in my case because I have experienced what it’s like living in Davao and I know how he runs a town, a province so maayos eh. Maayos naman. Ang hope ko na lang is he will be able to carry that role now as he leads a nation. That’s why I think it’s important also that everyone, whether or not you voted for him, will give also their support. While it is good that we’re catching every little thing… Tama naman din nagbabantay tayo pero bigyan muna natin ng opportunity rin siya. Hindi pa nga nakakaupo pero ‘pag umupo, bigyan natin ng opportunity na magtrabaho,” she said.

Hopeful and excited, the actress, in reference to the popularity of Duterte during the elections, added, “If that’s what the people wants, di ba? It must say something. Let’s give it a chance. I mean it’s easy siguro for the people who are living comfortably to you know, have all these complaints pero parang dapat pakinggan natin ‘yung boses ng tao, ‘yung mga talagang nag-stu-struggle.”
