Luis Manzano reacts to gay rumors being related to his break up with Angel Locsin

'It’s a little bit more overwhelming. Every show is overwhelming<i> pero for a show na fan ka. Kasi yung sa states pinapanuod ko yung kay Steve Harvey kaya kahit ako na-e-entertain. Kaya nung sinabi nila sa akin na</i> they’re considering me to do<i> Family Feud sobrang natuwa na ako. Kung ano yung binibigay ko sa ibang mga game shows mas dadagdagan ko,”</i> he shared during the show’s grand presscon held last April 4 inside ABS-CBN.</div><div><br/></div><div>As his third game show assignment in the Kapamilya network, Luis considers it a big blessing. <i>'Hindi naman ako iko-consider ng ABS-CBN kung wala silang nakikitang kulit na puwede kong iambag sa </i>show<i>. Sabi ko nga, </i>for any other game show<i> na ginawa ko </i>it’s competitive. For<i> Family Feud </i>every answer is unique.<i> Bawat sagot puwedeng paglaruan. Siguro it’s a result of working hard. Kahit papano wala naman akong pinipilit na kunin ako</i>. It’s amatter of me giving 110% in every show that I do so siguro it translates into more jobs and more shows,” he remarked.</div><div><br/></div><div>After admitting that he and Angel Locsin have decided to just stay friends, Luis revealed he still has to deal with other issues questioning his gender on a regular basis. Which is why the 34-year old has just learned to laugh off the gay rumors. <i>'Bata pa lang ako yan na talaga. Siguro hindi lang nila makuha yung katawan ko (laughs). Yung pagnanasa nila siguro rurok na. Kunwari yung bakla, walang masama sa pagiging bakla. It is not a derogatory term. Kung bakla ka, bakla ka by all means. Pero alam mong pag ginagamit siya bilang masamang pang-asar. Kung bakla ka then go ahead, there’s nothing wrong with being gay. Pero pag yung tira sa akin, tira eh. Ginagamit siya with a negative connotation so para sa akin mali yun,</i>” he explained. </div><div><br/></div><div>The Family Feud host even defended his ex-girlfriend, who has been rumored to be a lesbian as well. 'It’s part of the industry. Anything from name-calling to bashing.<i> Itong industriya ang nagpapatunay na hindi totoo yung “Where there’s smoke there’s fire.” Dahil ako ang dami kong naririnig na issues tungkol sa akin na kahit katiting na pinanggalingan wala. May balita nga ako may nabuntis akong beauty queen. Sabi ko, ‘Paano nanagyari yun?’</i> So if people only understood this industry more than what they see on TV, they’d be completely surprised,” he said. </div><div><br/></div><div>However, Luis said he does not want to drag Angel’s name into his issues even though she also defended him in her interviews. 'I’m very thankful <i>din naman. Pero it’s nakakahiya kasi nagagamit siya for the promo. Nakakahiya naman sa staff na pinaghihirapan nila</i> especially Angel, especially<i> sa kanya  na wala naman dito nananahimik tapos bigla na lang nagagamit siya for the promo. </i>At this point, we’re friends. I don’t want to add color<i>. Basta magkaibigan kami. Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan namin magkaibigan kami,</i>” he added. </div><div><br/></div><div>Luis said he looks up to his mom in terms of staying strong despite all the controversies being hurled at her throughout her showbiz and political career. <i>'Si mommy din naman alam niya yung pinagdaanan. Kahit siya din ang dami niyang pinagdaanan. Hindi naman sa tinawag siya na bakla (laughs). Pero I’m sure my mom had her fair share of haters. Mas grabe pa siguro before yung Vi at Guy di ba kasi sa kanila pa nga talagang sakitan yung mga fans nila so kung mga fans before nagkakasakitan, paano pa kaya yung mga sinasabi di ba? So alam na ni mommy yun,” </i>he stated. </div><div><br/></div><div>The Philippines’ premier TV host also did not want to talk about when he is ready to start dating again. Luis clarified that even though he may not seem affected, it does not mean he is not heartbroken. “Well siguro darating lang din naman yan. Kasi medyo matagal tagal naman yung kuwento pero things happen for a reason din. Sabi ko at the end of the day pinakamaganda is magkaibigan kami. Kailangan ba umiiyak ako? Kailangan mag-wa-walling ako pataas? Ano ba ang requirement para maapektuhan di ba? kailangan ba nakikita niyo sa ASAP na hindi ako makasalita, yung sa sobrang lungkot ka pataas na yung luha ko? Yung naghahanap ng mali makakahanap ng mali. People looking for good will always find good. People looking for negativity will always find negativity. Maglagay ako ng isang magandang bagay dito pero ang taong naghahanap ng mali makakahanap ng mali no matter what.”</div>

The Family Feud host says things are now friendly between him and his ex.
