Antoinette Taus thanks ABS-CBN, grateful with the change happening in showbiz

<p class='MsoNormal'><img src='' alt='040516-antoinettetaus1_PUSH.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Actress Antoinette Taus shared her thoughts through a longpost on her Facebook account saying how grateful she is to witness that ABS-CBNis making a huge step to make the entertainment industry better. In her letter,she first shared the struggle of the actors, actresses and the production crewwhenever they shoot for a series or movie back in the day. </p><p class='MsoNormal'>“I am not speaking of any specific network or production. Ithink I've worked with all, if not most, production outfits since childhood,and honestly, it's just the way things work over here. . . I am definitelyhappy that artists don't have to come in their massive vans and fancy vehiclesin order to have a comfortable place to stay. I mean, realistically, noteveryone can afford that. There are air-conditioned tents now for the entirecast and even the production. Hurray for that truly. Everyone deserves to betreated fairly and compassionately,” the actress stated. </p><p class='MsoNormal'>She then went on to share how happy she was when she had towork in an episode of <i>Maalaala Mo Kaya</i>and they were implementing a cut-off with their working hours and instead oftwo days, their shooting extended to three days. Antoinette was happy to seechanges made by the company even if it will affect their budget.</p><p class='MsoNormal'>“Last week, I got called to tape for MMK (<i>Maalaala Mo Kaya</i>)which is produced by ABS-CBN. I was wondering why they asked for three daysinstead of two. . . Those two taping days usually start at 6am and end at aboutthe same time the next day. . . That's actually pretty normal for any seriousshow or teleserye. But to my surprise, this time, MMK wanted all 3 days. . . Anadditional taping day costs the network a lot of money.</p><p class='MsoNormal'>“Even with the recent loss of two truly great directors, Ireally didn't believe that anything was going to change (like many things inour country). But here I am, witnessing firsthand, a huge modification in thesystem. And who is pioneering this change? Well, none other than the great andmagnanimous ABS-CBN. I mean, I believed change might come someday. But just notsomeday soon.”</p><p class='MsoNormal'>Antoinette is also looking forward to witness atransformation in show business.</p><p class='MsoNormal'>“This is just the beginning, and I can't wait to see thetransformation of the Philippine entertainment industry happen before my eyes.I have always believed that Filipino artists are some of the most gifted in theworld.</p><p class='MsoNormal'>“Once again, thank you ABS-CBN for being a formidableexample of change.
