In an interview with the reporters backstage during the event, the The Voice Kids season 1 contestant remarked that he is elated to be part of the celebration.

“I feel so happy kasi sa sobrang daming artista sa ABS-CBN, kumbaga I’m one of them. I’m so thankful po sa Star Magic for giving me a chance and opportunity, yeah, I’m so thankful and happy at the same time,” he shared.

JK remarked that he is truly happy of what is happening with his career at the moment. “Me personally I think it’s good, just be positive with everything.” What’s next for him after Pangako Sa’yo? “Actually ako rin po nag-aabang pa rin po ako eh. Abanagn na lang po natin kasi ako din po nag-aabang ‘yung mga upcoming shows, so yeah I will keep you updated.”

When asked if he wants to continue his team-up with Andrea Brillantes, who he got to work with in PSY, he replied, “We’re good. Matagal na po kaming hindi nagkasama after Pangako Sa’yo but we’re doing good maybe magkakasama kami ulit sa next show.”

JK was also asked about his reaction to the alleged competition between him and Darren Espanto. “I don’t get jealous with other people’s blessings so me as a brother to Darren Espanto since the beginning of The Voice Kids, I’m proud of all the awards that he received, I’m proud of all the blessings that he received, all the shows and concerts kasi I treat him as my brother kumbaga I don’t have any jealousy with him,” he said.
