Banana Sundae mainstay Sunshine Garcia has some tips in order to achieve and maintain a fit body.

1. Watch what you eat

Achieving a balanced diet is always the first step if one wants to become fit. “Kung medyo malusog ka ng konti at gusto mo talaga ng magandang pangangatawan, nandodoon isa ‘yung diet talaga. Diet sa pagkain,” she said.

2. Don’t skip exercise

Marami na ngayong lumalabas. May mga Zumba, may gym, pwede kayong tumakbo, pwede kayong magbike. So, maraming pwedeng gawin na kailangan pagpapawisan ka pa din,” said Sunshine. 

She added, “‘Pag nakuha mo na ‘yung body na gusto mo, ‘yun na ‘yung time na kainin mo na kung anong gusto mong kainin pero sisiguraduhin mo, ‘pag kinain mo ‘tong araw na ‘to, magwowork out ka kinabukasan.” 
 
3. Complete your beauty rest

Make sure to complete seven to eight  hours of sleep for adults. Sunshine said, “Less ang puyat pero kung hindi maiiwasan talaga, ‘yun lang talaga, diet at saka exercise.” 

4. Don’t just rely on diet pills

There’s really no shortcut to achieving a fit and healthy body. “’Wag ng uminom ng mga pangpapayat na mga gamot kasi mahirap na. Minsan, hindi pala tugma sa katawan mo so kailangan mo munang tanungin ‘yung doktor,” the former Sexbomb dancer said. 

5. Be patient

Don’t be in a hurry. Good things take time and are worth the wait. “’Wag na lang magmadali kasi minsan kapag nagmamadali, mas mahirap so pabayaan na natin na… Kahit ako noong una, tamad na tamad akong mag-gym eh pero ‘pag naumpisahan mo siya, ikaw naman ang maghahanap,” she said.
