After wrapping up shooting his indie film AWOL directed by Enzo Williams this week, Gerald Anderson admitted it was a dream come true to finally do a full-blown action film. "Ito na yun. Alam mo kasi hindi na tayo masyado gumagawa ng action sa industry natin. Puro love story, ganun. So gusto natin mabigyan ng choices yung audience natin and I want to give them a good action movie,” he shared during the grand launch of Instinct Apparel held last April 26 at the La Madera Gastronomic Pub in Quezon city.
As a guest during the fashion show event, Gerald said he is proud of Instinct Apparel co-owner Joe Vargas (who was also part of Pinoy Big Brother’s Teen Clash edition in 2010). "Joe is alright. Napaka-friendly na tao. Friend siya ng lahat. Everybody is here to support him,” he added.
After launching his K9 training foundation earlier this year as well marking as his tenth year anniversary in showbiz, Gerald admitted he has been trying to squeeze in more time for training the dogs and his teammates which also include his younger brother Ken. "Meron kaming coast guard training, search and rescue training, lahat ng team so we’re teaming up with the coast guard so sobrang exciting. It’s two hours dapat every week may training kami pero medyo mahirap kasi mag-sa-start ako ng bagong movie and isang bagong TV show. Bukas yung story conference namin and look test,” he said.
With his former love team partner Kim Chiu currently starring in the hit Primetime Bida series The Story of Us, some fans have been clamoring for him to make an appearance on the show. The 27-year-old actor said he would be open to the possibility if there was an offer for a guest role. "That would be nice. I’ve only seen one episode and maganda yung show. Basta nasa New York na sila. Alam mo mag-sa-start ako ng bagong show eh so I don’t know how that would work out. I would love to work with Kim again and of course with Xian (Lim) too. It would be very exciting for the fans (laughs). Yun lang ang masasabi ko. I don’t know, maybe in the future?” he said.
