Everyone’s favorite Teen King Daniel Padilla is turning 21 today. His legions of supporters made sure that the entire Twitterverse knew about it by counting down days and making different hashtags everyday for the trending list.

There are those who are curious as to what they can expect from the Teen King (who is now no longer a teen). What else will he be trying out? How will things be different now that he is officially a “man?”

Daniel answered all these questions in one go.

Siguro mas ano ako ngayon, iba na ‘yung thinking nung dati sa ngayon,” he said.

Daniel has gained a different perspective now being 21. While he’s no longer in his teens, he’s still definitely a king in some aspects.

1. King of his charity
Three years ago, Daniel chose non-profit organization Childhaus to be his beneficiary. In keeping true to his character, Daniel did not broadcast about what he did but he continued to support the adults and children who are recovering from cancer to have a temporary home.

According to a Childhaus representative, Daniel has spearheaded a number of fund-raising events for them and has made sure to drop by and really spend time with the patients that are under their care.

“’Yung mga pagtulong niya, siyempre yung alam naman natin na super sikat sya so ‘yung isa sa naka ano talaga, aside sa mga financial niyang support is ‘yung through sa mga fund-raising activity nila, siyempre nadudugtungan ang buhay ng mga bata at ng mga patients,” a Childhaus representative said.

2. Box Office Teen King
With his third film with Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo happening soon, many are expecting the tandem to break their own box office record of P296 million for She’s Dating the Gangster and P300 million (plus $2 million from international screenings) for Crazy Beautiful You. A good reason why fans and KathNiel are likely to beat their own record, aside from their strong following, is the fact that top caliber director Olivia “Inang” Lamasan will be helming it.

3. Family’s Supportive and Loving King
On top of his astig image, which many associate with him due to his Padilla blood, Daniel’s younger sisters Magui and Lelay are very vocal about their Kuya gets all mushy when it comes to family.

In fact, Daniel even said: “Ang gusto ko talaga ‘yung kapag tapos na ‘yung mga trabaho ko gusto ko aalis kami. ‘Yung magkaksama kaming lahat. Importante ‘yun.

Eh ayoko namang maging iba sila. Siyempre kapatid ko ‘yung mga ‘yun. ‘Yung panahon sa pamilya, kelangan yun.

4. Fans’ Gentleman King
While there are those who might take utter joy from being mobbed by fans, Daniel takes pleasure over the fact that none of his supporters—during his events—are harmed, pushed or elbowed.

His personal marshal Robert Azarraga shared that Daniel was particular about how he should treat his female fans.

“Tol ganito gawin mo ah, ‘yung fans natin hayaan mo munang lumapit kasi konti lang naman sila. Kapag nag-wild tsaka mo na sila control-in.

5. King of handling bashers
As one of the most popular Kapamilya stars, Daniel is well aware of his bashers and those who are continuously questioning everything he does. However, despite all the flak and criticisms that have been thrown his way, Daniel has remained calm and quiet. If anything, he also tries to police his own fans to plants seeds of friendship instead of dwelling on the negative.

”I think lahat nasa inggit, ang pang babash lahat ‘yan nasa inggit diba.
