Derek Ramsay says he has no plans of entering politics

<div><img src='' alt='042516-derek_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Kahit na may temang pulitika ang latest movie ni Derek Ramsay na <i>My Candidate</i> ng Quantum Films, kung saan role ng tumatakbong senador ang kanyang ginagampanan, ay wala raw talaga siyang kabalak-balak na pasukin ang pulitika.</div><div><br/></div><div>“It’s a really stressful life!” simulang pahayag ni Derek.</div><div><br/></div><div>“You have to be two hundred per cent committed. Passionate about public service and giving back to the people,” dagdag pa niya.</div><div><br/></div><div>“You can do it in some ways. By charity works and helping out your fellow citizens. But getting into politics is a totally different ball game. Ang daming… There’s a positive side to it. There’s a negative side to it.</div><div><br/></div><div>“The campaign is so stressful how to connect with your audience to convince them na ikaw ang iboto. Ikaw ang hindi corrupt. At the same time, kung alam mong hindi ka corrupt and you are trying to help, it’s frustrating when you can’t get that across.</div><div><br/></div><div>“So it’s frustrating, disappointing when you give everything in your life at hindi ka pa rin iboboto sa puwesto,”  dire-diretso pang pahayag ni Derek.</div><div><br/></div><div>Nakapili na ba siya ng presidenteng iboboto sa eleksyon?</div><div><br/></div><div>“It’s an interesting time for our country. Ang hirap i-identify. Just like before I keep that right. It’s so hard to vote because everyone has to say something about the other one.</div><div><br/></div><div>“Very difficult times but at the same time, very exciting,” sagot ng aktor.</div><div><br/></div><div>Samantala, natatawa namang ikinuwento ni Derek na kinailangan niya raw magpatubo ng buhok para sa role niya sa <i>My Candidate.</i></div><div><br/></div><div>“Sana magustuhan nila ang buhok ko (laughs). Kumapal na,  pero bukas gugupitin ko na ‘yan. So goodbye na sa buhok.</div><div><br/></div><div>“I grew this para mas fitting sa role ko but I have to say goodbye to it. Ang hirap gumising sa umaga na nakikita ko ang buhok. Nale-late ako dahil inayos ko pa ang buhok ko! Ha! Ha! Ha!” biro pa niya.</div><div><br/></div>

Derek also shares what he had to do for his role in “My Candidate.”
