Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach claimed that “nothing has been confirmed yet” about the prestigious pageant being held in the Philippines.
But Pia during a recent roundtable interview claimed that she is pushing for it.
“I am actively campaigning and we all want the pageant to happen here,” she said, stressing, “We want it to happen.”
“I don’t even know how far along are we in making it happen. The possibility is always there. But is it always there? No. I can’t give you an answer for that. But yes we do want to do the pageant here,” she explained.
Pia is here in the country to pass on her crown during this Sunday’s Binibining Pilipinas Coronation Night to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
But, in a question asked by Push.com.ph, she revealed that she would have to quickly fly out after the pageant.
“I do have a trip after Philippines. I am going to the Miss Peru pageant kaya aalis ako kaagad. So that’s the next thing,” she said without revealing any other details.
“Actually ang calendar namin apat ‘yan na sobrang laki pero hindi kasi lahat ng ‘yun pwede ko ng i-reveal pa unless she said so,” Pia explained referring to her manager Esther Swan.
Pia’s last entertainment-related stint was when she became a Super Bowl correspondent back in February. Last month though, Pia flew to Florida together with Extra host Mario Lopez.
“Well supposedly the recent trip that we did in Orlando, Florida where we went to Universal Studios and featured the Harry Potter [World] with Mario Lopez, I was supposed to be heavily involved in that one,” she related.
But since she got terribly sick at that time, “That had to be pushed back. Good thing Olivia [Culpo] was there too. Right now there are some plans.”
