Piolo Pascual has been shooting daily for his upcoming movie with Coleen Garcia and Dawn Zulueta. He also relayed that he will also be releasing his album this year. “I’m working on a movie with Dawn (Zulueta) and Coleen Garcia Love Me Tomorrow and yeah we are in full swing already. We shoot almost every day and I’m excited for that and I’m working on my album which I will release pretty soon,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.
When asked how it feels to be working with two actresses from different generations like Coleen and Dawn, he responded, “Not challenging but very interesting. You know you have Ms. Dawn Zulueta who is very talagang nakakabilib, you know, she’s a take one actress. And you get the fresh vibe of Coleen so talagang wow ibang klase,” he said.
Piolo remarked that he is already looking forward to the finished film especially that he is also working with new director Gino M. Santos. “Our director who is very young who has a different vibe also na talagang makikita mong iba-iba ang expression so I am just really excited for this film, on what we can accomplish pagkatapos nong pelikula,” he stated.
Piolo will be playing the role of a DJ who will cross paths with Dawn’s character, a fashion designer. Meanwhile, Piolo will develop a “no-label” relationship with Coleen’s character. “He’s been around the world, backpacking. Wala siyang sense of responsibility. He loves to party, he loves to just wing it. Until he crosses paths with Ms. Dawn’s character, that’s when he starts to change and find some meaning to life,” as he previously relayed in his past interviews.
While Piolo is busy shooting his new movie, his critically-acclaimed film with Lav Diaz Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis is already being shown in the Philippines. The actor remarked that he hopes the movie will inspire Filipinos to give importance to history and to their roots. “Well coming from the spark or the hit movie Heneral Luna, we want to continue on and just you know really inspire more Filipinos and take a stand and take a practice there right on how to be a true-blooded Filipino. And this will remind us of how we were able to stand during the revolution and ‘yun nga parang Heneral Luna lang. It’s all about how we’re being Filipinos na talagang ine-empower natin na we are trying to show our fellow men,” he said.
