Last Sunday, March 27, actor Ian De Leon reportedly came to the rescue of a 10-year-old boy who got hit by motorcycle.
The mother of the child, a certain Kristine Madrigal Sarmiento, took to her Facebook account to ask how she can personally get in touch with the actor after he brought her son to the hospital.
She wrote, “DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH IAN DE LEON, THE ACTOR AND SON OF NORA AUNOR AND CHRISTOPHER DE LEON? I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK HIM FOR RUSHING MY SON ETHAN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER HE WAS HIT BY A SPEEDING MOTORCYCLE. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME TO THE RESCUE OF A TOTAL STRANGER ,WHILE ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE JUST PASSED BY AND LOOKED AT MY BLOODY 10 YEAR OLD HELPLESS SON WHO WAS ALONE WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED.”
The post added, “SUCH AN ACT OF KINDNESS SHOULD BE EMULATED BY EVERYONE! NOT TOO MANY GOOD SAMARITANS AROUND ANYMORE. PLEASE HELP ME GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM.”
Meanwhile, a commenter asked if the incident was a “hit and run,” to which Kristine replied, “No. Ian De Leon got a hold of the guy.” She also mentioned in one of the comments that her son underwent a major surgery and is under observation.
Hours later, Kristine responded again to another commenter, saying that she has already contacted Ian.
Meanwhile, Ian, on his Instagram account @kris_ian_de_leon, responded to followers commending him for his heroic deed.
“@julietlanipamaraming salamat po Mam Juliet! Nagkataon lng po siguro na nandun po ako nung nang yari ang accidente, kahit sino naman po ang nasa lugar ko, gagawin rin po ang na gawa ko.. God bless po.. :)” he wrote.
