Yung grupo nila, yung team nila na every year ilang pelikula nagagawa. I can’t even begin. Sobrang devastating,” John Lloyd shared.
Piolo admitted he was really affected by the unexpected news because he considered Wenn a longtime friend. "“I was devastated. My first taste of teatro I was with direk Wenn already in UST. We’re guild mates and we’ve known each other for more than twenty years so masakit kasi hindi lang sa ABS-CBN ko siya kapamilya kundi sa teatro. We’re a family. I’ve done shows with him, yung soap namin ni Claudine (Barretto) na Walang Kapalit he directed it, Buttercup, and ang dami kong cameo sa mga pelikula niya. He’s taught me a lot. He really was a mentor to many of us here in ABS-CBN,” Piolo admitted.
The Kapamilya hunk said he hopes to be with his college friends when they go to the wake at Arlington Chapel in Quezon City. "Bukas or mamaya pa. But definitely of course I’ll be with my Teatro Tomasino friends. As much as it’s a reunion it’s a sad reunion pero of course prayers all around for direk Wenn,” Piolo added.
Unlike Piolo who had worked with direk Wenn on several shows, John Lloyd said his respect for the late director is bigger than their friendship. We need more people like him. Hindi sila dapat nawawala,” Lloydy shared.
