Aiza Seguerra's honeymoon in Peru

After more than a year of being married to Liza Dino in ceremonies held in the US, Aiza Seguerra finally got to go on the first leg of their honeymoon this year on a trip to Machu Picchu in Peru. The couple met up in California where Aiza was doing shows and then they went on their 28-hour journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site for their new adventure as a married couple.

The Golden City of the Incas. Built in the 1400's AD, the Incas lived in this beautiful city nestled in between Wayna Picchu (new mountain) and Machu Picchu (old mountain). Machu Picchu Peru This place is just awesome! Buti nalang kumuha kami ng guide. Kasing bagal ng paglalakad ko ang pagsasalita niya pero ang dami kong natutunan. Para sa mga Incas, ito daw ang pinaka importante: Love, Learn, Work. At para sa kanila, spirituality and science are never separated. Napakagaling nilang mag-isip. Ang galing kung paano nila gamitin ang natural world at astronomy to build their structures. They build around their environment, hindi kagaya ngayon na sisirain ang environment para makapag build. These people had so much respect for their land. Sana matularan natin. Kagaya ng mga tribespeople natin sa Pilipinas, they protect their land dahil dito sila nabubuhay. They grew crops (mostly corn, squash, potatoes) para may makain. Ang ganda rin ng systema nila to gather their drinking water. Hiwalay ito sa paliguan at sa tubig na ginagamit nila for their religious practices. Siguro mas marami pang developments sa city kaso the Incas had to flee dahil nagkaroon sila ng civil war. Most of them fled to the Amazon. After that, matagal hindi nakita yung city. Hinanap ng mga Spaniards but hindi nila nakita. Nung 1911, may mga farmers na naka discover and inabisuhan nila si Hiram Bingham, who worked for National Geographic Society (i think).
